BREATHE

one of my all time favorite movies is ferris bueller's day off. matthew broderick at one point says this cheesy, overused quote,

"life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

okay, so i can mock it, but it's true. i've been exhausted the past couple of weeks as i've just moved from place to place and from person to person. i can't remember the last time i was still. this weekend, i'm taking time to explore and take it easy being still.

there's a park about a half mile from my house which is an incredible escape. there are hidden treasures here that you'd have to experience yourself, i can't just tell you.
(said magical park)

we're called to be still. ("The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still" Exodus 14:14) i can sometimes be a bit of a control freak and think i can fix everything.
one of my wisest friends always simply states, "just be free, peyton." and i laugh. it's so simple but something i don't follow. BE FREE.
i've rediscovered a love for riding my bike. it feels so good.
(my not so cute road/mountain bike)

this weekend i'm really focusing on just being still, free, and quiet. it's a crazy time of year. i'm also in need of exploring. today i found a dino tree. who knew those existed?
(a dino tree? ahhh!)

tomorrow i plan on exploring one of my favorite places full of waterlilies. i'll dream of monet and spend quality time with my most favorite scruff, kip.
